Overfill the tube two inches (5 cm) beyond the end of the wall. Twist the end of the tube and fold it back. Set a weight on the fabric to hold it out of the way. With a quarter pounder, tamp the end of the tube back in two inches (5 cm) shorter than the length of the finished wall (Fig. 3.31).
Re-twist the fabric extra tight to take up the slack. Lift up the end of the tube and tuck the twisted fabric underneath itself (Fig. 3.32).
Tamp the whole row working from the middle of the tube out towards the ends. The tube will tamp out flush with the finished row below (Fig. 3.33 & 3.34).
