The Lewis Avenue Corridor is located in downtown Las Vegas. The site p incorporates two new buildings, the new Regional Justice Center and the n Federal Courthouse and provides a continuous canopy of shade trees the en three blocks. The plaza in the third block celebrates the historic Fifth Street Sen providing expanded public space at the new Federal Courthouse. A water feat emerges from the pool at the Federal Courthouse, carving its way through center of the plaza, revealing the many layers of the regional landscape.

The Lewis Avenue Corridor Improvements create the central spine for a pedestrian-oriented Office Core District with the Clark County Detention Center at the west end past Third Street where the tree allees open into an abstraction of a native arroyo

The central wash, a linear water feature that ties the blocks together, begins with a source fountain at the The central wash is a meandering cobble-lined feature that is recessed two steps below sidewalk grade so that people can sit along its edges.

Fountain features along the way serve as secondary water sources. A cascading water wall merges out of the lower basin and is oriented along the plaza axis and perpendicular to Fourth Street to announce Lewis Avenue to those headed for The Fremont Experience.

SWA proposed a double row of Ash trees alolng both sides of the street to create dappled shade, a human scale and a buffer against unfriendly architecture.
