Laundering may be done in a room designed especially for this purpose, or in o multiuse room, designed also for food preparation, sewing, child play, and the like.
The best location, of course, is convenient to other work centers, such as the kitchen, and to the drying yard so thot there will be a minimum of carrying necessary. Generally, basements ore not considered de sirable locations because of their inconvenience, dampness, and lack of odequaie light.
Figures 7-13 provide floor plans illustrating various orrongements of bosic work areas needed for the laundering process. In some of the plans shown, the space needed for laundering is treated as a separate area, in others, possible combinations with other areas are indicated
