Doxiadis elaborated further on the ekistic grid by adding the time scale and aspects of desirability and feasibility to the x-axis. On the y-axis the ekistic elements were expanded to include their interrelations. This formed the framework for the description of the total world (cosmos) of man (anthropos) leading to the term anthropocosmos. This model is intended to define the total system of life. It is described in Ekistics 241, December, 1975 and in a slightly longer version in Ekistics 229, December 1974 (Fig. 7).
